Legless Chinese singer scales mountain on his hands

A legless singer again made it to the top of 1,532-metre-high Mount Tai in east China's Shandong Province on Saturday.

This was 29-year-old Chen Zhou's 12th successful attempt on the mountain, using just his hands. Chen lost his legs in a train accident when he was 12. He began to earn a living as a street singer at 16.

"Life is just a little bit inconvenient for us handicapped. Through hard work, we can do whatever others could and even make it perfect," Chen said.

Chen had to leave his wife and two children for performance tour of over 600 Chinese cities so far, to earn the living and clear a debit of more than 400,000 yuan sooner, after he bought a new house in Linyi of Shandong.
